Hiya, Naomi, this weekend was given to creating this trilogy for you..ask Mummy what a Phoenix is and tell Kongkong whether you like these...maybe next time I will paint the Wiggles for you! Next weekend (?) will be set aside to create something for Abigail...

Oh my these are lovely. You do wonderful work, I appreciate artistic works, I do little drawing and painting, but I certainly appreciate the work of others. I have always wanted to work with watercolors.......someday maybe when I get a little older and grayer.

Your art is quiet beautiful!

They are - within themselves - healing.

Glad for Naomi - for being able
to receive such specially 'crafted'
painted / photographed pictures.

I would also like to be 'bold' like
'angeldust' to add this comment
regarding your photo - (yes, you
had stated that a caption should
go with it)

Those in favor of Plus Ultra to put
up a new photo of himself (so as to
be more significance and reflective
to his others photos and paintings
on his blog).....

Please vote in !

Hi TY, this was one of the very very few photos I have...judge me not by that but rather by what I am trying to depict..I am looking out of a window into that wondrous beyond that poetry and the arts provide...I always believe poetry is both a window and a mirror, a mirror to look within and a window to look out into the horizon....thanks for your suggestion and if the vote goes your way, I will use the one from Mykad which is " lebeh lagi teruk"...:)

I happen to like the picture you are using now, but a different one would be nice as well. You could always switch back and forth, as I do with mine. :) (Which I have been doing as a joke of sorts.)

Your work here is very beautiful, as is all your work. Your talent is amazing.

Joy to you.

beautiful artwork, plus!

"water colour and wax on paper", sounds like batik, although the medium is not cloth and dyes. great technique there.

Magical. Makes me think about the method. Like superimposing two images in a haiku? This one, more mental and descriptive, is from Saturday:

No static picture –
kaleidoscopic story
of shattered mirrors

Yes, there was a 'white out' on your blog yesterday.

Ha, saw the humor side of you in the phrase 'lebeh lagi teruk', for
the benefit of those which would like to know what it means in English language = 'will be worst'!
also 'Mykad' is what everyone above 12 years of age carry here - it is an Identifiction card with ones photo on it.

These are gorgeous. I love art that has such richness of color to delight the eye.

(No, I am not from Singapore. I was born and raised in the USA. My husband's father was born in Korea, then eventually came to the USA in his youth, thus my married name: Lim)

Yes, dsnake1, it was one of those days...when I had a candle in my hand and a piece of paper..I started drawing a leaf (with the candle) and then very quickly (without any planning) coated it with water and then started throwing coloours and allowing the colours to run into each other..I caould do the same with just crayons.....

Sorry, I didnt realise there was a white out....
Thanks Borut, that was a really excellent haiku and you stuck to the 5-7-5 rule which is really good ! I catch what you mean, in fact I have a poem which echo your thoughts...will post it some day!

Yes, one day when I retire from medicine, I will go to art school, maybe Nanyang or La Salle in Singapore and meet up with dsnake1, Medusa, Liz etc....

Beautiful Work! I dabble in watercolors, and my favorites are the ones like yours where the colors create colors by coming together. I like the lack of control, though you use the wax to give the color shape.... Truely inspiring.

Thanks for coming bye, and I can't wait to see you again. I am going to add you to my links if that is alright with you?

Must return to say that the artwork has inspired me to try this technique hopefully very soon, as I met a holidaying Dutch artist without her watercolors… will be posting my results.
Thank you for being an instrument of inspiration.

joy to you
